Friedrich von Amerling

The young girl might be the artists daughter, Ludmilla Amerling, born in 1833. Gerbert Frodl on the other hand noted in his expertise a striking similarity with Emilie Arthaber, the daughter of the industrialist and collector Rudolf Arthaber, in whose collection the painting belonged.
