1951 Wurlitzer 1450 Standard
For 1951 Wurlitzer introduced a new entry level and a high-end model, the 1400 Deluxe and the 1450 Standard. Mechanically there were no differences, the 1450’s design was simply not as fancy. Both were also offered the following year with only minor changes in appearance.
The selection was still at 48 songs, played from 24 vinyl records. Speeds could easily be switched between 33 1/3, 45 and 78 rpms.
The price for the 1450 Standard model was $914.50, the DeLuxe came in at $35 more. The audience preferred the more expensive model, with 12,600 1400 Deluxe models standing against only 3,700 1450 Standards models.
This example has visibly been restored and converted to 220V in the past and still presents itself in beautiful cosmetical condition. However, we have not tried if it works and therefore it will be strictly sold as is, without any guarantee for functionality.
