1954 Wurlitzer 1650 AF
For 1954 Wurlitzer of and even broader range of different models, which the entry-level 48-selection jukeboxes being available with Standard sound system (1600 A / 1650 A) and a new High Fidelity system (1600 AF / 1650 AF).
Looking at sales number this move didn’t really pay off, with less than 3,700 pieces of each model sold. All four together barely reached the number Wurlitzer used to sell with one model alone. Therefore, it does not come as a surprise that after only two years Wurlitzer bid farewell to their entry level models. The audience commanded jukeboxes with greater selections.
This example has been converted to 220V in the past and still presents itself in very good, cosmetically largely unrestored condition. However, we have not tried if it works and therefore it will be strictly sold as is, without any guarantee for functionality.
