The attribution to Philip Joseph Tassaert was identified by Dr. Yvonne Bleyerveld, RKD, based on a high-resolution digital photograph. A comparable study representing the “Sacrifice of Iphigenia” is kept in the Art Institute of Chicago (inv. No. 1922.2168).
