A porcelain plate: A lady in half profile, leaning on a railing and a gentleman in profile behind her, signed and dated Wustlich 1844, watercolour on a porcelain plate with embossing, H,25 x 19 cm, framed, (Hu)

Otto Wustlich was a German porcelain-, landscape- and portrait painter. He was promoted by King Ludwig I and copied the famous paintings of the Old Pinakothek in Munich on porcelain. Wustlich also made numerous copies after Titian, Van Dyck and others for the porcelain painting institute of Carl Schmidt in Bamberg.
