Henri Pierre Jamet was a pupil of Jean-Léon Gérome at the Ecole des beaux-arts de Paris, then of Henri Harpignies and Albert Maignan. He painted landscapes, still-lifes, portraits and genre paintings. As a member of the French Artists Association he participated in different exhibitions and received numerous awards.
