A textbook sports car! In 1985, the 328 succeeded the 308 that had been in production for 10 years. It adopted the tried-and-tested features, but made everything noticeably better. The engine was even more powerful, the car even faster and the aerodynamics more sophisticated. Minimal modifications were enough to modernise the lines designed by Pininfarna. The extremely agile transverse V8 engine installed in front of the rear axle had proven to be highly stabile and its displacement was moderately increased. With the 308 and 328, Ferrari had the perfect recipe for success and for many, they are Ferraris par excellence. The 328 remained in production until 1989. The original warranty card of this 328 GTS shows that it was delivered to Vicenza in January 1986. After just two months, it was taken to Munich, only to be acquired a year later by its next Munich owner, who kept it for four years. The original log book is present - however, regular entries ended in 1988. A subsequent owner bought the car in 1991; an MOT report from 1992 records its mileage as 47,900 km. Now living almost exclusively overseas, he only drove the 328 with red numbers sporadically from 1994. However, he had the car professionally serviced throughout its lifetime. With 52,270 km on the clock, the 328 was then acquired by its current owner, who immediately obtained HU and H approval. He treated the Ferrari to another technical service last year: the timing belt and tension pulleys were replaced, the suspension adjusted in 2017 and the oil and air conditioning fluid changed. So there's nothing to stop it embarking upon an autumn excursion, to its Italian homeland, for example!
