Porsche presented the new 930 Turbo in Paris in the fall of 1974, when the oil crisis could be forgotten. Performance was back in demand, and the Turbo offered enough: 260 HP in the 3-litre and 300 HP in the 3.3-litre after 1977. The Turbo showed its potency outwardly, as well, with huge fender flares and a no less subtle rear spoiler. More often than not, the performance of the car exceeded the driving capabilities of its drivers, which contributes to the fascination with the Turbo and its mythic status to this day.

According to the production plate, this Turbo was built in October 1977 and then shipped to Washington State on the West Coast. It was imported into Austria in 2012. Originally ordered in black on black, which was a rare colour combination at the time, this rocket has beautiful extras like leather sports seats, electronic sunroof, air conditioning, chrome trim and black headlining. The Turbo was painted in decent quality while it was still in the USA. During the importation into Austria, the odometer read about 66,000 miles (some 105,000 km). The typical US attributes were Europeanized and a km/h speedometer was installed (which does not reflect the actual mileage). The 930 underwent servicing by Porsche in July 2016; the tires were replaced with the original 16" Fuchs forged wheels. With this equipment, this Turbo is ready for registration and the road for the new owner – who will also be the second owner in the Austrian registration papers!
