1959 Chevrolet Corvette

1959 Chevrolet Corvette - Classic Cars

In the 1950s, the domestic American auto industry had little to offer against the success of British roadsters and style Italian cars. Chevrolet subsequently launched its first sports car in 1953 – the Corvette. However, it was the much more powerful models from 1958 and later that won over customers. The never-ending success of the Corvette had begun. The dynamic, yet playful design of the 1959 Corvette is uniform, from the exterior to the interior. Note the sweeping lines of the lower body and how they continue on the dashboard. An "architectural" masterpiece.

The consignor imported this vehicle into Germany from the United Kingdom in 2015. The 4-speed manual gearbox was a must. The Chevrolet had already been restored; the 5.7-litre engine, number V0810TKT, including the Holly carburettor and the Edelbrock components, had already been installed. This combination gave the Corvette an unexpected temperament. Technically, the car was adapted to meet local TÜV regulations. The consignor overhauled the font axle in 2016 and had the brake system rebuilt extensively. As a result, the brakes are on par with the power. The Corvette showed off its potential on several rides – and offered plenty of fun. The spry technology sits on a solid body. The interior was enhanced with the original Corvette radio; the slick craftsmanship is still a winner. Overall, this car is a clean Corvette in one of the most popular versions, with a big engine and great mechanics. Naturally, everything is registered and historically certified!
