1997 HPU Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail (no reserve)

1997 HPU Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail (no reserve) - Classic Cars

Custom bike with Evo engine!

The Softail frame started in the 80s, when choppers with rigid frames gained popularity. Harley-Davidson came up with a frame based on the rigid predecessors, but without their drawbacks. The company HPU in Ringinen, near Ulm in Germany found further potential for optimization, however. Established as a manufacturer of custom parts for Harley-Davidson motorcycles in 1984, the company began to offer their own frames. The HPU frames are characterized by a high-quality finish and increased rigidity. They are also properly registered, of course.

The Heritage Softail was first approved on March 13, 1997, built with original Harley-Davidson components. The FLST fork is home to 3.00 x 16" wire spoked wheels. The carburettor and exhaust system are also original HD. It is possible to remove the windshield quickly without tools. The consignor acquired the Harley on 12 September 1997 and immediately had a new 1,338 cc Evo engine installed. The HD certificate is on hand. The seller wants to let go of the custom bike now because of his age. The new owner can expect a high-quality, one-of-a-kind piece, made in Germany, with only 10,000 km to date, which is reflected in the condition of the bike. The comfortable Heritage design with lush saddles provides a relaxed motorcycling experience for up to two people. Thanks to the functional trunk space in the form of two generous saddle bags, the bike is also suited to overnight trips. Ride on!
