1968 Steyr-Fiat 2300 de Luxe

1968 Steyr-Fiat 2300 de Luxe - CLASSIC CARS and Automobilia

At the Geneva Auto Show 1963, Fiat presented the 2300 with a number of technical improvements and even more refined features such as individual seats, connectible compressor fanfare, and warning lights built into the doors. These improvements justified the addition of the „Lusso“ designation. In Austria this was known as the Steyr-Fiat 2300 de Luxe. Production of the car ended in 1968.

The present Steyr-Fiat was first registered on 2 July 1968 in Vienna. On 28 June 1985 it was deregistered. The consigner only acquired the saloon in 2009. The sales contract specifically states that the car is in original condition and that brakes, tires, and general service is required before it can be used. The consigner made the necessary repairs and added this fine car to his Fiat collection. As he drove the cars in his collection using temporary plates, this deluxe Fiat did not need to have another owner entered into its papers. From 2009, the 2300 has been driven at regular intervals, even though only for a few hundred kilometres. Overall, this is an exceptional car, incredibly original and nevertheless in great condition. There are only minor traces of wear, as the car was obviously very well cared for. It is accompanied by extensive documentation including instruction manual, repair manual, and catalogue of replacement parts - all in the original. This agile treasure will not only prove fascinating to Fiat lover but a wider audience. It recall the long forgotten era of Fiat quality cars and continues to surprise us with unexpected details.
