1967 Austin-Healey 3000 Mk III Phase II

1967 Austin-Healey 3000 Mk III Phase II - Classic Cars

The 3000 was born from the Healey 100/6 in 1959. Gradually, more and more advanced details, such as the folding top and crank windows, joined the larger engine, lending the roadster even a touch of practicality. At the same time performance increased, finally arriving at 150 horsepower with the Mk III, which quickly made the Healey reach close to 200 km/h. Today, the most sought after versions are the very late copies of the final stage, which is called Phase II, and which combine all of its advantages into one.

This quite late "Big Healey" was originally delivered to the USA. Since 1989, it spent time on the east coast with its previous owners as part of a larger collection of Italian and British sports cars. The Healey was restored in the early 90s. It charmingly flaunts the last 25 years that have passed since then. The consignor bought the car from this collection about six years ago and brought it to Austria. Again, the Roadster complemented a collection and received little, but regular movement. The soft top is still in Everflex, just as it should be, the classic combination of black in black in conjunction with the chrome spoked wheels suits it very well. The Healey was now brought to us with freshly overhauled carburettors and brakes, conveniently ready for the summer!
