In the fall of 1974, Porsche unveiled the new 930 Turbo in Paris, effectively putting the oil crisis on the back burner. Performance was once again the hot item and the Turbo was more than up for the challenge: at first with 260 hp in the three-liter, and starting in 1977, a round 300 hp in the 3.3-liter. Outwardly the Turbo blatantly exhibited its potency through its huge fender flares and its equally discreet rear wing. The performance of the car not infrequently exceeded the driving skills of its pilots, which still to this day contributes to the fascination of Turbos and substantiates the myth behind them.

This 930 Turbo in Indian red was accepted as the demonstration vehicle for four months at Porsche Salzburg at the beginning of August 1986. In March of the following year, the extensively equipped Porsche relocated, the small roof antenna pays witness to the built-in C-network telephone from its first owner in the 13th district of Vienna. Already in 1993, the consignor acquired this super Elfer and lovingly grooms and cares for it to the present day.

While the service booklet has been lost over the years, the numerous service stickers testify not only to its care and maintenance, but also to its original mileage. In 2003, the consignor deregistered the Turbo, however, he still indulged it in plentiful excursions so as not to let its muscles get rusty. This 930 leaves nothing to be desired and is an asset to any collection. In terms of driveability it is way beyond reproach, because that can be best described in one word: brutal!
