1935 Aero 30 Roadster

1935 Aero 30 Roadster - CLASSIC CARS and Automobilia

Since 1985 owned by the consigner!

In the „30“ model Aero presented an entirely new type of car - drop centre frame, oscillating axles in front and back, and front wheel drive once again. The performance of the 1,000 ccm-engine was increased to 30 HP, allowing the sports roadster to reach 110 km/h. Thanks to its excellent road holding, this allowed high average speeds and maintained its image of ruggedness.

The present Aero was built in 1935. The existing documentation goes back to the year 1941, which is probably why when it was issued its Austrian type license in 1969, 1941 shows up as the year of construction. On 31 May 1985, the Roadster was registered to the consigner. During the mid-90s, he had the car restored, aside from the engine which was only restored around the year 2005. Even today the condition of the bodywork, interior, or roof, as well as of the mechanical parts reflect the thoroughness of this restoration work. Only the window seals have aged. The consigner also had the radiator grill chromed and a protective bumper installed in front. A final detail is revealed in the emergency seat hidden under the rear panel. This sleek Aero still has more than enough character and energy to keep up with the flow of traffic.
