1970 Porsche 911 S 2.2

1970 Porsche 911 S 2.2 - CLASSIC CARS and Automobilia

German delivery, top restoration, matching numbers!

In August 1969, Porsche introduced the 911 with a 2,2 litre engine with the bore enlarged to 84 mm. Once again the range includes T, E, and S models and it is the last of these letters that makes the difference, now with 180 HP at 6500 RPM. Considered to belong to the C-series, these models had advanced further regarding their equipment and technology. In September 1971, Porsche already followed this up with the 2,4 litre model.

The present Porsche 911 S was delivered on 24 March 1970 to the Hahn Porsche dealership in Fellbach. It is one of 1.430 coupés of the top 2,2-litre model. During 2013 and 2014 the consigner had Porsche specialists restore the car according to his preferences and without regard for the resulting costs. Among other things, a cooling unit was restored using original Porsche parts. This years record summer demonstrated why! The restoration produced a 911 of a quality one would be hard put to find elsewhere; wherever one looks, the cars condition is stunning. Its birth certificate confirms that the engine and transmission are still the original parts matching the chassis. A new owner may look forward to the best Porsche has to offer. And since as far as its performance is concerned a 911 S excels without question … why wait?
