BMW 3/20 HP type AM1 (no limit)

BMW 3/20 HP type AM1 (no limit) - Classic Cars

The first real BMW in a great condition!

At the end of March 1932 the AM1 model appeared, whereby the latter proudly stood for “Ausfuehrung Muenchen (Munich model)” 1, and was therefore the first "real" BMW in the company’s history. In contrast to its predecessor the "Dixi", much was changed, including first and foremost the pleasingly spacious body, built at the Daimler Benz AG factory in Sindelfingen!

This AM1 was delivered to the BMW outlet of Fendler & Lüdemann on 15 June 1932 as an early specimen with a 3-speed gearbox in Hamburg. The vehicle documents prove that the BMW was registered from June 1949 to October 1965 in the Hamburg area. It was restored several years ago in a disproportionately large and extensive way, as only a private person without a ticking clock could afford. From 2007, the AM1 was part of a BMW collection, with the mileage indicator of the original Veigel Walzentacho not clocking up very much at all. This limousine shall be presented with a recent servicing and a passed vehicle inspection. Overall, this 3/20 probably represents a particularly adorable specimen from the very cradle of BMW’s history!

VIN: 30424 Mileage: 1,542 km (read) Displacement: 782 cc / R6 Gearbox: 3 speed Colour: Green & black / grey (fabric) Power: 20 HP Documents: German vintage registration
